Job description:

  • Testing of inks, pre-treatments and coating materials – for diverse applications –utilizing inkjet digital printing technologies
  • Stability tests of different ink types in various different digital printing systems
  • Mechanical, wash and other durability testing of printed materials utilizing dedicated measuring tools
  • Using & operating different RIP software packages, color management and production of ICC color profiles for different ink types printed on to various substrates – including fabrics
  • Printing of samples on a wide variety of substrates
  • Routine maintenance & upgrades of digital printing systems
  • Training & support of enterprise customers from around the globe
  • The job is for a full-time position, in our headquarters in Rosh Ha’Ayin, Israel

Requirements:

  • Proven relevant and similar work experience in inkjet digital printing – a must
  • Experience in working with water-based inks – a strong advantage
  • Profound knowledge of RIP software technologies and ICC color profiling – for different ink types printed on diverse substrates – including textile
  • Vast knowledge of different graphic design file formats and software applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral & written skills in English
  • Self motivated, independent and Hands-on
  • Strong inter-personal skills and a team player
  • Willingness to travel abroad

We are seeking a research chemist in the field of inkjet inks and pigment dispersions to join our

R&D team that is expanding in parallel to the company’s growth. Responsibilities:

  • Development of water-based inkjet inks and other fluids for various print-head platforms and products
  • Design, preparation and evaluation/testing of various formulations
  • Develop a complete process for the implementation of those inkjet inks and fluid materials by different coating/printing techniques
  • Utilize various characterization methods to evaluate the functionality and performance
  • Small-scale manufacturing and printing
  • Scale-up planning & manufacturing procedures
  • Internal alpha testing and beta testing at customers’ sites worldwide
  • Literature search, work plan preparation, experimental design and writing technical results reports
  • Location: Afek Industrial Park, Rosh Ha’Ayin (Israel)

Requirements:

  • Second degree (MSc) in chemistry / chemical engineering / material engineering
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in inkjet ink chemistry, development & preparation
  • Previous experience with aqueous pigment-based ink formulations – a strong advantage
  • Deep knowledge of polymer chemistry, nanomaterials, sol-gel technology, formulations development
  • Experience in coating techniques, inkjet technologies and digital printing – a strong advantage
  • A motivated self-learner with good organizational skills
  • A responsible and reliable multitasker
  • Willingness to work hard and learn new things
  • Strong inter-personal skills and a team player
  • Self-motivated and independent hands-on experimental lab work
